How families can support the school that children attend each day.
Orchard Valley Waldorf School rests on love and respect for children, families and the community, and on reverence for learning, artistry and the natural world. Gifts from parents, grandparents, friends, relatives, trustees and community members keep the school growing. Ask the office how you can help.
Donations help keep a Waldorf education within reach for families in central Vermont. Each year, the operating budget for our children's programs includes donor participation goals, and that giving supports classroom supplies, field trips, faculty salaries and tuition adjustments. Gifts go directly to the school.
Tell the school if you would like your gift made in honor or in memory of someone special. If you wish, the school can send a card featuring student artwork to the person or family you are honoring. Ask the office to arrange it.
You can make a one-time donation or a sustaining monthly contribution. Either way, you help support students and teachers. You will get an email receipt from the online system, and the school will send its own note of thanks.

In a Waldorf early childhood room, days move at a steady, unhurried pace. Children help with practical work like baking and tidying, spend long stretches outdoors, and hear stories told aloud rather than read from a screen. Teachers sing through transitions instead of calling out instructions. If you visit, you might see bread dough rising, wool being carded, or a circle of children waiting while a teacher lights a candle.
Children notice when the people around them give. Gifts pay for classroom supplies, field trips, faculty salaries and tuition adjustments, so the same teachers stay with the class and the same materials are there each morning. That steadiness is what a parent sees at pickup.
