Mixed-age PreK and Kindergarten for three- to six-year-olds, set on the 55-acre Grace Farm campus with its farm, forest, orchards, fields, sheep, goats, gardens, and the Kingsbury Branch of the Winooski River. The program is pre-qualified to accept Act 166 funding for three-, four-, and five-year-olds enrolled in PreK.
Our campus is at Grace Farm in East Montpelier. Families come here to see the rooms, meet the teachers, and walk the land their child would spend days on. Start with a visit and we can answer what you need to know.
We want our programs to be within reach. Each has its own financial aid options, including Act 166 PreK funding for three, four, and five year olds, and income-based Tiered Tuition for Kindergarten students. Ask us how these apply to your family.

The program is nature-based and largely outdoor, with a predictable seasonal rhythm. Days include animal care, nature crafts, story, circle, running, tree-climbing, hiking, imaginative play, and nature exploration. Enriching activities include painting, coloring, chopping vegetables, sewing, finger knitting, and felting. A mid-morning snack is provided. Children staying for the afternoon bring lunch from home and rest or sleep. Time outside happens in any weather.
In a licensed PreK and Kindergarten room, children arrive and settle into free play. They build, paint, sew, and dress up. Teachers gather them for circle time with songs and movement. There is a snack, then outdoor time, then rest. The room is set up so children can reach what they need and choose their own work.
At home, you may notice your child humming a circle song, folding cloth, or telling a longer story. They may ask to chop vegetables or carry the compost. These are signs of growing fine motor skills, language, and confidence. Children who practice these things daily bring them home.
